Job Description

Candidates should have or be close to obtaining a Ph.D. degree in related research fields in world-leading business schools. Strong candidates should be willing to work on responsible and high-quality research and publish in internationally and domestically recognized journals. Candidates whose research interests are congruent with the school's mission and vision have priority in the selection process.

Qualifications vary for different levels of faculty positions: 

Assistant Professor

Candidates should show strong potential in research and teaching.

  1. Have the willingness to work on responsible research and pursue the truth and integrity;     
  2. Have rigorous academic training and the potential to do good research independently;
  3. Have the ability to teach undergraduate courses and teach in English;
  4. Have a desire to grow up in the academic community and contribute to the development of the school and the department.

Associate Professor 

Candidates should have a good record in research and teaching and have the ability or interest in MBA teaching.

  1. Have an Associate Professor position in prestigious international or domestic business schools or an Assistant Professor position with outstanding research records;
  2. Have the ability to do good research independently and publish in high-quality journals as a first or corresponding author;
  3. Have good teaching records;
  4. Have the ability and interest in contributing to the academic community and the development of the school and the department

Professor

Candidates should have an international reputation and impact in their research domains and have the ability and interest in MBA/EMBA teaching.

  1. Have a Professor position in prestigious international or domestic business schools or an Associate Professor position with outstanding research records;
  2. Demonstrate substantial influence in a specific research domain; Have the ability and willingness to independently lead a research group, be a world-renowned scholar, and have influential publications in top management journals as a first or corresponding author;
  3. Have good teaching records;
  4. Have the ability and interest in contributing to the international and local academic community and practical community; to the school and department’s development and governance.

About us

The Department of Business Administration was established in 1920. It was one of the three founding departments that constituted the restored School of Management in 1985 and was one of the earliest departments at Fudan University. The department represents the school, a founding member and a significant sponsor, to collaborate with the International Association of Chinese Management Research (IACMR) to facilitate Chinese management research and education among scholars, educators, practitioners, and policymakers. The Department of Business Administration has two doctoral programs: Management and Oriental Management, and includes disciplines of strategy, innovation, entrepreneurship, Organizational behavior and human resource management, International business, and Strategic leadership.

As China's economic and financial center, Shanghai is responsible for the new era.
